I'm getting pretty frustrated that we can't figure this out! I was just reading about beeswax sealer for wood furniture, and I will definitely give that a try on the butcherblock next time I inevitably refinish it. Thanks for the tip!!Georgiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16098769340141865316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2322864304061375013.post-20312336236514988292018-10-19T11:19:59.755-04:002018-10-19T11:19:59.755-04:00Thanks so much! My lamp shade kept falling down and I knew there was a way to fix it, but couldn't remember. I made the cardboard template and it worked perfectly. I have a butcher block on my island and the struggle is real. I have redone it too many times to count now. I used Boos at first, but it doesn't work when it high use. I forget what the next thing was but that didn't work at all, and got rings and stains. The last time I sanded it all the way down and just used wax from Jeanne D' Arc which is beeswax based and its worked the best so far. I don't put food directly on it, so I don't think it is a big deal, and my girl is grown now. xoxo SuButterfly 8)(8 Bungalow https://www.blogger.com/profile/12407401010841427366noreply@blogger.com
