$3 Christmas Wreath Hack

Want to add a little Christmas cheer to every corner of your home without breaking the bank? Me too! And this is one of my favorite hacks to get the job done. Wreaths are so versatile because they don't need any floor space, you can hang them just about anywhere, and they are super easy to put up. These little guys have an extra bonus - they're only $3 each at Hobby Lobby!

You just need a few simple supplies to hang your own wreathes at home:

  • wreaths (obviously) whatever size and style fit your taste (I used these)
  • ribbon (I bought red satin ribbon at Hobby Lobby)
  • command hooks

I bought enough wreaths to do all five doors in our upstairs hall plus two more for our kitchen cabinets.

Start by hanging a command hook upside down on the back of the door or cabinet door where you want to hang a wreath. Like so:

Now run a piece of ribbon through each wreath and tie the ends together to make a big loop. I recommend holding the first wreath up to decide how long the ribbon needs to be, then using that ribbon as a guide to cut the rest of the pieces for any other wreaths so they hang evenly. To hang the wreath, put an end of the ribbon loop up over the top of the door and loop it over the command hook (see above). Look how cute!

You can take the hooks down and rehang them each year if you want, but I have left my hooks up for years and they are ready to go each Christmas! It's so easy!

Enjoy!
